Clarity Keyboard Beta update brings new ergonomic layouts

8th September 2015

Writing emails, sending texts and composing that perfect hashtag is something we use our smartphones and tablets for every day. We know that making this easy, intuitive and personalized is important to you – and it’s just as important to us here at SwiftKey. We spend our days thinking of ways to make typing better for all smartphone users, and Clarity Keyboard is a part of our exploration into how we can do this.

For those of you who don’t already know, Clarity Keyboard Beta is an experimental keyboard offering a simple way to type, helping you to focus on what you’re writing – and nothing else. Clarity debuted in April as our first project in SwiftKey Greenhouse.

Today, we’re releasing a new update to Clarity Keyboard (0.6) in the SwiftKey Greenhouse. It introduces some new ergonomic keyboard layouts for you to try, and fixes an issue for many of you who used Clarity on your large-screen/hi-res devices in which the keyboard was too big.

With these layout changes come a number of smaller bug fixes and improvements as well. We can’t wait for you to try the new version, and, as always, we’re eager to hear about your experience with it.

You can download Clarity in the Google Play store here.

We’ve read thousands of your feedback responses and use these to help us decide what new features are worked on next. Feel free to leave us feedback via a Google Play review, or you can use our VIP Community to discuss something directly with us.

If you give Clarity a try and like it, don’t forget to share it with your friends, family and colleagues; the more people using Clarity, the more we’ll learn and the better we can make typing for everyone!
