Welcome to this week’s installment of SwiftKey Keyboard Tips & Tricks! We normally cover the iOS and Android versions of SwiftKey, but today we’re switching things up a bit.
Today’s post is about Clarity Keyboard for Android, our first release in SwiftKey Greenhouse. If you’re not familiar, Clarity is an experimental keyboard offering a simple way to type, helping you to focus on what you’re writing and nothing else.
While the keyboard is quite minimal, it still has a number of cool features. Today, we’re highlighting a feature that lets you do a quick gesture to insert a capital letter.
To get started:
- Download Clarity if you don’t yet have it
- Hold & press on the shift key (note how this turns on caps lock)
- Drag your finger to the letter you wish to select
- Clarity Keyboard SwiftKey Android
And just like that, you can insert a capital letter. You can easily and quickly do this and alternate between lowercase and capital if you want to WrItE LiKe tHiS (who doesn’t?).
It’s as simple as that.
