How do I access the different skin tone emoji on SwiftKey for iOS?

Hi everyone,

Welcome to this week’s installment of SwiftKey Keyboard Tips & Tricks, geared towards our iPhone & iPad users.SkinToneEmoji-SwiftKeyforiOS

On Tuesday, our latest update to SwiftKey for iPhone & iPad brought you 180+ new emoji from iOS 9.1 – yay for tacos and unicorns! To help you navigate these new emoji easily, we wanted to show you how to access the different skin tone emoji, a feature that Apple added in iOS 8.

To get started, make sure you are at least running version 9.1 of SwiftKey for iOS:

  1. Press and hold the smiley face and drag your finger over to emojiSkinToneEmoji-SwiftKeyforiOS2
  2. Find the emoji you wish to use
  3. Press and hold on that emoji to gain access to the different skin tone options
  4. Select the emoji you wish to insert

Note: This feature is not supported across all emoji
