SwiftKey Tablet named Tabby Award finalist

25th July 2013

With new apps being invented daily to compete for prominence on our phones and tablets, we’re always excited to see our products get recognition as standing out among the best. Today, SwiftKey keyboard for tablets was listed as a finalist in The Tabby Awards, by TabTimes and the Application Developers Alliance. SwiftKey Tablet is among just three finalist apps in the Personal Productivity category and is the only Android app in this category.

The mission of The Tabby Awards is to “celebrate the best tablet apps, in order to help both the developers and, as the case may be, their customers develop and adopt best, and to accelerate the development of the tablet ecosystem.” Judges are appointed by The Tabby Awards among professionals having expertise in app development and/or publishing. The winners will be announced at the first Tablet Ecosystem conference in New York City on November 13th 2013.

It’s great when apps designed for tablets are praised aside from their smartphone counterparts. Addressing the unique challenges of typing in the tablet (or large phone) environment is important to us; we’re always thinking about how we can make the SwiftKey experience the best it can be according to our users’ various needs. We’ve got a team hard at work making some improvements in this area, so watch this space!
