Swiftmoji for iOS update brings emoji translation

5th October 2016

A brand new update to Swiftmoji for iOS is out today, and with it comes emoji “translation”! After all, why use a word when you could use an emoji? (We don’t know the answer to that one either.) Now, with one easy tap, you can instantly swap out your words for emoji.

To check this emoji translation feature out, just type on your keyboard as you always do then switch over to Swiftmoji – which will automatically look at the context of what you’ve typed and show you if any of your typed words have a matching emoji. Tap on a word in the “predictions” bar to translate it into an emoji, or swap all possible words for their emoji replacements in the sentence in one fell swoop by tapping on the ‘translate all’ button on the left.

PS. Note that with some sentences, you may not have any emoji replacements – which just means you’ll have to get extra creative with your Swiftmoji predictions!
